OTHfans.com & OTHforums.com Under New Ownership... Kind of!

This past week OTHfans.com & OTHforums.com underwent some changes, including a new owner, kind of. Last year the creator of both websites, Patrick, decided to turn over ownership to Ryan. This past week, Ryan turned ownership of the websites back over to Patrick.

Patrick created OTHfans.com back in October of 2003, right after the Pilot episode of One Tree Hill aired. Due to Patrick's close ties to the show (he worked for the show for 3 seasons), he was able to bring exclusive information to the website that fans couldn't get anywhere else. This boosted OTHfans.com to the top of OTH fan sites. OTHforums.com originally started as a section of OTHfans.com, but it eventually outgrew the limitations of OTHfans.com and in March of 2006 became it's own independent website. It is now the largest One Tree Hill forum on the internet with over 18,000 members.

Last year, Patrick was able to score the most exclusive information in One Tree Hill history, the departure of Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton. But this exclusive information came with negative feedback. For months, OTHfans.com was the only website reporting the two cast members would be leaving the show at the end of season 6. Many other popular OTH websites claimed Patrick and OTHfans.com were lying to the fans, causing an uproar among OTH websites, and confusion with fans. It was later confirmed by the CW Network that the news Patrick reported was in fact true. After all the fighting back and forth with other webmasters and even producers of the show, Patrick felt once he was proven to be right, it was best to turn over ownership.

Patrick has always felt the fans were the most important asset to One Tree Hill. He has always made a promise to never post false information, and to give them the news they want to know, rather it be good news or bad news. Patrick will be bringing back these qualities to a website he created for the fans to find the best information possible.
